The fireplace was supposed to have a raised hearth, but the fireplace itself wasn't supposed to be raised again - OOPS!
What was he thinking? What are those dips in the wall doing there? That will never do! This is what happens when no one is there to supervise construction.
That is really ugly. It definitely needs work.
